work in progressRox Records introduces its new project!

It's TradAction 2013, a traditional music compilation obtainable only upon download from our web site as a "Pay What You Want" (or, better, "Folk What You Want"), payable securely with credit cards (pay what you can afford, we suggest a minimum donation of 5 Euros).

TradAction 2013 will be out on December 10th, and all the proceedings from the operation will go towards charities, with no gain by anybody.
The idea is to realise a showcase for Rox Records and for all the artists and groups that will take part in the compilation, and at the same time contribute to one or more charities

We contacted friend artists and groups, and the answer we had from the folk scene was great!
The first contributions have arrived. A first tracklist fetaures at the moment:

Coltri, Menduto, Morelli e Mauri: a Polska with a bit of electronics.

Nocino Folk: a Klezmer tune taken from their first CD.

Statale 45: a "Live" Mazurka.

NoterFolk: a Catalunian Fandango, taken from their first CD.

Fabrizio Klam: a traditional Hanter-dro with modern arrangement.

Bifolc: a suite of Rondeau des Landes taken from their first CD.

Abacà: a Ronde de Saint Vincent , newly recorded.

Other tracks, arriving soon:

Alzamantes: a Branle d'Ecosse, newly recorded.

JamTrad Duo: a Bourrèe in three times, that we normally dance in circle.

Andrea Capezzuoli e Compagnia: a "live" Scottish.

Saro Calandi: a "Saltarello Romagnolo", newly recorded.

...and many others coming in the next couple of weeks.

Come back to our website, follow us on  Facebook and you will see the compilation grow day by day!
